A man has alleged that he was drugged and robbed after inviting a woman to his apartment for what he described as a casual meeting, sparking widespread discussion on social media.
In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), the man said the incident occurred on December 23, 2025, after he invited the woman over and the two spent time drinking together.
According to him, events took a troubling turn shortly afterwards, as he allegedly lost consciousness and remained unaware of his surroundings for several hours.
He claimed he only regained consciousness about 2:00 p.m. the following day, when he discovered that his apartment had been thoroughly ransacked.
Several personal belongings were reportedly missing, including an iPhone, a work laptop, a work mobile phone, bottles of alcohol, and other household items.
The man estimated the total value of the stolen items at approximately R114,000, which is equivalent to about N10 million.
He further alleged that an additional R25,000 (around ₦2,176,000) was withdrawn from his bank account using his mobile banking application while he was unconscious.
Following the incident, the man said he replaced his stolen phone and was later able to retrieve photos of the woman he had invited to his apartment.
He revealed that the images have since been handed over to law enforcement authorities to aid ongoing investigations.
In a controversial move, the man also shared the woman’s photos on social media, claiming he did so to warn others and possibly help identify the suspect.
The action has generated mixed reactions online, with some users expressing sympathy for his ordeal, while others cautioned against public exposure before the conclusion of police investigations.
Authorities have not yet issued an official statement confirming arrests or charges connected to the case. However, the matter is reportedly under active investigation.
As investigations continue, members of the public are urged to allow law enforcement agencies to carry out their duties without interference or speculation.
