Colleta Ann Ngesa, who found herself at the centre of public scrutiny following the sudden death of veteran journalist Festus Amimo in a hotel room earlier this month, has reconciled with her husband.

Ann became a trending topic weeks ago after the police named her as the companion of Amimo in a hotel room in Nairobi’s Central Business District, after the famous journalist was found dead.

It was believed that Amimo, head of Kenyan Broadcasting Corporation (KBC)’s Mayienga FM, was having an intimate session with Colleta, a junior staff member of the station, in the hotel room when he went into distress.

It was speculated that he might have taken an overdose of the blue pills to enhance his performance with the lady.

Police report indicated that Amimo was found lifeless with no sign of external violence. They also confirmed that Colleta was with him in the room in his final moments.

The police took Colleta into custody to facilitate their investigation, but apparently released her when they found no culpability.

The incident triggered intense discussion on social media, particularly because both Amimo and Colleta were married to different people.

Speculation was rife that Colleta would run into trouble with her husband, with whom she shared two kids.

However, it seems Colleta has resolved whatever problem that might have arisen as a result of the viral incident.

She recently shared a photo showing herself spending quality time with her husband and their children, a post that appears to signal unity and reconciliation within the family.

The time stamp on the photo shows December 23, 2025, to demonstrate that it was not an old photo.

The image quickly drew attention online, with reactions ranging from admiration and relief to criticism and disbelief.

While some praised the husband for his large heart and for choosing to prioritise family and forgiveness, others questioned the decision to move on so quickly.

For now, Colleta appears to be turning her attention away from the controversy, focusing instead on her home and rebuilding normalcy after weeks of intense public attention.
