“I’ve not been able to eat or even shave” — Pastor Chris Okafor laments over scandals

Pastor Chris Okafor of Grace Nation Liberation City has revealed how recent controversies surrounding his personal life have deeply affected his physical well-being, leading him to neglect basic self-care.

In a video currently circulating on social media, the cleric spoke candidly during a church service about the emotional strain he has endured following the public drama involving actress Doris Ogala.

According to him, the pressure was so intense that he struggled to eat properly. He said he was also not able to follow his usual personal grooming routine.

The clip, shared on Instagram by @ijeomadaisy, captured Pastor Okafor explaining that the period left him drained and overwhelmed, affecting not just his emotions but also his appearance and daily habits.

“It’s not been easy. I have not been able to eat, barb, comb my hair, nor shave,” the pastor admitted, suggesting that the weight of the situation disrupted his normal lifestyle.

He credited his newlywed wife for helping him through the difficult phase.

Pastor Okafor revealed that his new wife would check on him repeatedly throughout the night—sometimes up to 20 times—to ensure he was okay and emotionally stable.

According to him, her constant reassurance and presence played a critical role in helping him cope when he felt most vulnerable. He also extended appreciation to his family members for standing by him during the challenging period.

While expressing gratitude publicly, the pastor described his wife’s support as a lifeline, noting that her care helped him regain calm amid the storm surrounding his name.

He called his wife to the altar, where he embraced her warmly as the choir sang a love song.

It would be recalled that a former chorister known as Ebere has also stepped forward to accuse the cleric of wrongdoing.

Ebere claimed Okafor promised her marriage and impregnated her five times during the period. She claimed that she aborted twin babies twice and two other babies for Pastor Okafor.

She claimed that she kept the last pregnancy, against the wishes of the embattled preacher.
