A former chorister in Pastor Chris Okafor’s church, identified as Ebere, has stepped forward to allege that she aborted two twins and two other babies for the embattled cleric.

She said she kept the last pregnancy against Pastor Okafor’s express instruction to abort it.

Ebere was mentioned by Pastor Chris Okafor’s ex-wife, Agnes Bessem Okafor, during her interview with Aunty Adunni a few days ago.

Agnes, who is now living in America, had said at the time that she was aware of Pastor Okafor’s affair with a chorister named Ebere, among other women in his church at the time.

She said her estranged husband was reckless with women and was not fit to climb the altar of God.

Ebere, in a fresh interview with Aunty Adunni, admitted that she was the person Agnes named in the interview.

She said she had also decided to step forward to state her truth and try to get the justice she had been unable to get in private discussions with the embattled cleric.

Ebere claimed that she started a relationship with Okafor after he spotted her in the choir stand and prophesied about her mum.

She said this happened about 2013. She claimed the pastor later asked her to see him in his office, where he gave her money.

Later, she said the cleric asked her to see his junior pastor, who took her to his house in Harmony Estate, Magodo, Lagos.

There, she said the cleric gave her two cold red apples and convinced her to go out on a relationship with him.

She said it happened on the 25th of December, and his house was empty of any other human, as his family had gone to the village.

Ebere said they soon started having sex and she conceived four different times, with the controversial cleric insisting on her aborting the pregnancies each time.

She disclosed that in two of the abortions, twins were evacuated from her.

The lady said after the fourth abortion, she tried to pressure Pastor Chris Okafor to formalise their relationship, and he told her he needed time to process his thoughts and be convinced he really wanted to marry her.

He reportedly asked for a year to examine his desires for her, and during this time, she was asked to keep to herself and avoid contacting him.

Ebere said she kept to her side of the bargain and concluded that Okafor was done with her. She said she refrained from contacting him, rebuffed any suggestion of sleeping with him, and carried on with her life.

Out of the blue, the cleric reportedly contacted her again and asked her to inform her people so he could come and perform formal marriage rites.

Ebere said this gladdened her heart, and she contacted her family, who arranged for an introduction that was performed virtually after the pastor sent money for the materials.

After the introduction, Okafor asked Ebere for sex again, according to her. She said she initially tried to convince him to let them conclude the formal marriage, but he allegedly insisted.

After their encounter, Ebere conceived, and when she told the pastor, he reportedly asked her to abort again.

Ebere said she refused bluntly and told him she would keep it because they would marry anyway.

She said this did not go well with Okafor, who went ahead to block her.

Ebere said she had evidence for all her claims, including the pregnancy tests and receipts for the payments made for abortions.

According to her, Okafor would typically insist on her undergoing pregnancy tests to be sure she was not lying. She said she kept all the pregnancy test results and receipts of payments made.

She also mentioned the name of Okafor’s pastor friend, who took her to a certain Dr Ejike at Egbeda, Lagos, who performed some of the abortions.

Additionally, Ebere named members of the choir at the time who are still alive who could be called upon to corroborate some of her claims.

Among them was an Amaka, whom she said she confided in when Okafor asked her to abort for the first time.

She claimed Amaka stopped attending Okafor’s church as a result of that episode, as she allegedly claimed she could not worship in a church where a pastor asked his girlfriend to abort a pregnancy.
