Doris Ogala makes fresh allegations

Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has made a new and controversial claim about the pulpit of Pastor Chris Okafor’s church, days after the cleric publicly apologised to her over their ongoing dispute.

The actress made the allegation in a video shared online, where she claimed that “five million maggots” were under the church pulpit.

She claimed that the more the maggots, the more the number of people that will be thronging his church.

Her statement has since sparked widespread reactions and renewed debate across social media platforms.

Many described the claim as frivolous, vindictive and fictitious, adding that she ought to have stated this earlier if it was true.

These latest allegations follow Pastor Chris Okafor’s public apology, during which he knelt before his congregation and sought forgiveness from Doris Ogala and other women he said he might have offended.

The apology came after Ogala earlier accused the cleric of several forms of misconduct, including alleging that he offered her $10,000 to retract some of the allegations she made> She displayed dollar bills she was allegedly given by the cleric.

In her new video, Ogala stated that she had accepted the pastor’s apology but insisted that members of his church were “under bondage.”

She suggested that the alleged condition of the pulpit was responsible for the growing congregation, making remarks that many online users have described as shocking and extreme.

“Do you know the thing that is buried inside the ground that has over five million maggots? The bigger it gets, the bigger the congregation gets. Why do you think they are not leaving?” she said in the video.

The actress made other controversial allegations and asked the Department of State Services (DSS) to investigate the church pulpit.

In response to the allegations, Pastor Chris Okafor has publicly denied any wrongdoing. He has reportedly invited both the DSS and the police to investigate the church altar, stating that he is willing to sponsor a full excavation and have the process broadcast live to clear his name.

As of the time of this report, no security agency has confirmed the commencement of any investigation.

The allegations remain unverified, while public attention continues to focus on the escalating controversy.
