
Police in Machakos County, Kenya, have arrested a man and his girlfriend over the fatal shooting of a nightclub bouncer, Bwana Munuve, during a dispute at a popular entertainment venue, Jam Rest Club, on Christmas night.
According to eyewitness accounts, the incident began after a disagreement arose between the bouncer and a man who had arrived at the club accompanied by a woman.
The argument reportedly escalated, prompting the woman to be asked to leave the premises.
The confrontation later continued outside the club, where the suspect allegedly produced a firearm and shot the bouncer. The victim died at the scene from his injuries.
Police sources confirmed that the suspected shooter later presented himself at Machakos Police Station, accompanied by the woman involved in the dispute.
Both individuals are currently in police custody as detectives work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
The deceased, identified by colleagues and residents as Munuve, was a well-known bouncer at Jam Rest Club.
