An individual who identified herself as Chi Okafor, the biological daughter of Pastor Chris Okafor, has said that her father is not fit to climb the altar of God to minister because of what he does in private.
Chi Okafor shared her account during an interview facilitated by social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM).
In the widely circulated video, she appeared visibly distressed as she spoke about her alleged relationship with the cleric.
Her appearance followed the recent arrest and subsequent release of Nollywood actress Doris Ogala, who had accused Pastor Okafor of wrongdoing in a series of online videos.
Ogala later announced her release and expressed gratitude to those who supported her during the ordeal.
Reacting to Ogala’s release, VDM disclosed that Chi Okafor had reached out to him and expressed a willingness to speak publicly about her experiences.
He stated that the interview was conducted to give her an opportunity to share her side of the story.
During the interview, Chi struggled to compose herself before speaking. A document presented as her birth certificate was displayed during the session as proof of her claimed relationship to the founder of Liberation City.
She also provided old pictures purported to be of her, their father and her sister, taken in the living room of their old apartment.
In her emotional account, she criticised the cleric’s lifestyle and said it was deeply painful for her to watch him preach, given the experiences she alleged occurred in her childhood.
She expressed distress over what she described as contradictions between his public religious role and his private conduct.
VDM, who has been vocal throughout the controversy, reiterated that he had earlier issued an ultimatum demanding Doris Ogala’s release, warning of further action if she remained in custody.
The interview has since sparked widespread reactions online, with many social media users expressing shock, sympathy, and concern over the growing allegations surrounding the cleric.
As of the time of reporting, Pastor Chris Okafor has not publicly responded to the latest claims.
