Mercy Camp Apostolic Church marked its 8th anniversary with a colourful thanksgiving service at Egbeda, Lagos, on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
The anniversary celebration attracted worshippers, ministers of the gospel, and guests from within and outside Lagos, as members gathered to give thanks for the church’s growth and impact over the years.
Among the guests at the event was Rev. Victoria Faleti, the Convener of Alabaster of Praise, an annual praise concert featuring gospel music ministers in Lagos.
The anniversary service featured powerful sessions of praise and worship, as well as testimonies and thanksgiving offerings presented by individuals, families, and organised groups, all expressing gratitude for God’s faithfulness in their lives.
Speaking during the event, the founder of Mercy Camp Apostolic Church, Prophetess Mary Oluwatunmise Awe, described the 8th anniversary as a celebration of God’s unfailing grace, mercy, and consistent help since the church’s inception.
According to her, the anniversary was not just about marking the passage of time, but about appreciating God for the lives transformed, prayers answered, and the church’s steady growth despite the challenges.
“We are eternally grateful to God for making this ministry a solutions centre for thousands of people. He is honouring his word in our midst. Every petition we put before him is granted expressly. Many of those we started this ministry with were at the lowest ebb of their lives at inception. But Glory to God who lifts people by His grace. Most of them got their breakthroughs right here and are doing well, including our first pastor, who miraculously secured an international connection that took him outside Nigeria. There is so much to thank God for. Without God supporting us, what can we do by ourselves? That is why we have made this a thanksgiving service,” Prophetess Awe said.
She encouraged members to remain steadfast in faith, unity, and service, while expressing optimism about greater achievements and spiritual impact in the years ahead.
The anniversary thanksgiving service concluded with prayers for the church, its members, and the nation, as the congregation looked forward to a new chapter in the church’s journey.
