A woman has stepped forward claiming to be the second wife of the late journalist, Festus Amimo, who died on top of a female staff member in a hotel room earlier this week.

The woman, identified as Eunice, alleged that she had a long-term relationship with the deceased and that they shared two children.

She is now demanding to be formally recognised by Amimo’s family as his wife.

According to her claims, the relationship was kept away from public view. Eunice insisted that her children are biologically linked to the late journalist, adding that one of the children bears a striking resemblance to him.

A photograph circulating online has further fueled public debate, with social media users drawing attention to the perceived likeness.

Festus Amimo, a well-known journalist, reportedly collapsed and died last weekend while spending time with a junior staff member of his organisation in a city hotel room.

His death shocked colleagues and members of the public. The circumstances also generated a lot of interest, especially as the late journalist presented an image of a devoted family man.

There are loads of pictures and videos of the late journalist enjoying quality time with his publicly known wife.

The emergence of Eunice and her claims have added a new and dramatic dimension to the unfolding story.

While the family of the late journalist has yet to issue an official response to the allegations, the claims have generated widespread reactions online, with opinions sharply divided.

Some have called for restraint and respect for the deceased and his immediate family. In contrast, others have urged that the matter be properly investigated, especially in the interest of the children involved.

As of the time of filing this report, no legal documentation confirming Eunice’s status as a wife has been made public. It also remains unclear whether she plans to pursue legal action to assert her claims.
