Viral video of Nigerian man being assaulted after sleeping in lover’s home in SA (Watch)
A video has shown the moment a man believed to be a Nigerian was confronted and assaulted by a group of men in the room of his lover, who happened to be a married woman.
The video shows the Nigerian rising from the mattress placed on the floor in a room when a group of men entered.
A voice believed to be that of the person doing the recording accused the Nigerian of sleeping with his wife.
The Nigerian can be heard apologising and saying that nothing happened between him and the said woman.
The sound of violence can be heard as the camera goes out of focus, and the film ends abruptly. Information accompanying the video indicated that the Nigerian was viciously assaulted.
The status of the victim is not known. The information accompanying the video on social media indicated that the man later succumbed to his injuries, but this is not seen in the video and cannot be independently confirmed at the time of writing this report.
The clip has since gone viral, with many netizens offering advice to Nigerians in a foreign land not to visit a woman in her apartment for security reasons.
Human rights advocates online have called for a thorough investigation into the incident and urged the public not to resort to vigilante actions, regardless of the circumstances.
