The Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has alleged that some Muslim individuals that he provided shelter and food for ended up killing his grandmother.
Dachomo made the claim in a video shared by Equipping the Persecuted on X (Twitter).
The cleric narrated how the men were stranded, and he came to their assistance, giving them food and sheltering them in his house.
Rev Dachomo said he stocked his kitchen with food because of them, and he allowed them to use the church to pray.
“And these same people were the ones who killed my grandmother and removed her heart. The same people killed my uncle and removed his tongue. The same people burned my best friend, my childhood friend, his wife, and his five children,” he alleged.
He wondered why “one side is supplying peace while the other side does not believe in peace”, lamenting that they have refused to allow peace to reign.
The cleric claimed the assailants had been coming to their settlement for years to live with them, but ended up turning against them when there was a crisis.
Rev Dachomo said despite Christians in the area choosing peace, the attackers were unrelenting.
The cleric specifically accused some Almajirai of benefiting from Christian hospitality only to be used as tools to attack the same communities whenever a crisis erupts.
He said the Christians have not once visited their Ruga settlement to attack them as reprisal.
Dachomo said the land belonging to Christians had been seized by terrorists, saying even reporting such cases turns into another battle.
He called on the Senate Committee on Security to act decisively and help displaced Christians return to their land.
The cleric said silence was no longer an option, cautioning people to stop denying that genocide is occurring in Nigeria.
