Sound system still on in church where Pastor, worshippers were abducted by bandits in Kogi (Video)

A video of the church where a pastor, his wife and some worshippers were abducted by bandits on Sunday has shown the deserted church with the Bluetooth speakers used for service still on.
Armed bandits invaded a Cherubim and Seraphim Church during service in Ejiba community in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State on Sunday, November 30, 2025.
Prayers were going on when the bandits shot sporadically to intimidate the worshippers and any security men in the vicinity.
Worshippers scattered in various directions, but some were captured by the armed men. Among those abducted were the shepherd of the church, locally known as Baba Orlando and his wife.
An undisclosed number of church members were also taken into the bush.
The church was newly established in the community and was already commanding a sizeable number of regular worshippers.
The Kogi State government has deployed security agencies, including local vigilantes and police units, in the community to search for and rescue the abducted worshippers.
A video shows a helicopter hovering over the community before landing on an open field.
A resident visited the church after the attack to film the environment and the inside of the church building.
The video shows personal effects such as exercise books, pens, shoes, scarves, and wrist-watches scattered on the floor in the pews.
The Bluetooth speakers placed on the altar still had their lights on, as the worshippers had no time to put them off when the assailants arrived.
The resident who did the recording said he had been in hiding, apparently to avoid being abducted.
He called for the assistance of the authorities to locate the abducted worshippers
