
A 39-year-old Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer, Funmilayo Oluwamayokun Lasisi, and her daughter, Sewa Lasisi, who went missing in Ogun State on November 2, 2025, have been found dead.
Body parts believed to be of the FRSC officer and her daughter were discovered at a suspected herbalist’s home in Osun State.
Officer Lasisi and her daughter, Sewa, are believed to have fallen victim to ritual murders.
The officer and Sewa were last seen on the morning of Sunday, November 2, after they left their residence at the Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, and failed to return.
Family members, colleagues, fellow residents and others tried to reach them via their phones without any success.
Oluwamayokun Lasisi was a Superintendent Route Commander and a fourth-level senior operational officer in the FRSC hierarchy.
She was responsible for multiple routes and coordinated strategic enforcement operations throughout her career.
A Facebook user, Ayomideji Solanke, announced on Facebook that a family source disclosed that the remains of the missing officer and her daughter were found at the herbalist’s home over the weekend.
Solanke revealed that the wife of the herbalist had been arrested, but the herbalist remains at large.
The Ogun State police Commissioner, Lanre Ogunlowo, confirmed the development to The Punch
He added that some suspects had been arrested by the Osun State Police Command in connection with the incident, while some exhibits, namely body parts, had been recovered.
OGUNLOwo announced that the Osun Police command would be handling the matter for convenience’s sake. He added that his team would provide the necessary support.
