The police in Delta State have detained a self-professed pastor, Pastor Daniel Ololo, for allegedly raping three sisters and other female members of his church in the Sapele area of the state.
This was disclosed by the spokesperson of the Delta State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe, in a statement he released on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
Ololo was picked up in his Omega Prophetic prayer Ministry premises after one of his victims reported to her parents, who, in turn, complained to the police.
Police investigation showed that Ololo would pretend to see a vision concerning a female member of his congregation and ask her to see him in private.
He would then tell them he had to sleep with them to deliver them from the affliction that he had seen coming their way in the spiritual realm.
The victim would then capitulate and allow the man to have his way.
Edafe revealed that he used this same approach for three sisters of the same mother who attended his church.
He reportedly slept with them one after the other until the last one, a 17-year-old girl.
It is believed that the girl complained to her parents, who then probed further, only to realise, to their chagrin, that the same fraudulent man of God had slept with the girl’s elder sisters.
They contacted the police on 13 October 2025, and, on the strength of the petition the family filed against the cleric, the Commissioner of Police detailed the State Criminal Investigation Department to investigate.
Edafe said that the pastor was formally arrested on the 17th of November, 2025, on his church premises.
He added that the suspect remained in custody as the investigation continues.
