A woman is in police net in Kaduna after a failed plot to eliminate her husband over the N400,000 he gave her to set up a business.
The woman allegedly confessed that she took the drastic action to eliminate her husband because she could not explain how the money he gave her disappeared.
She contacted Kaduna area boys and offered them N80k to help her terminate her husband’s life. The housewife paid them N50k upfront with the promise to pay them the balance after the three days of mourning prayers.
The woman further disclosed that she gave the boys N5000 to purchase a drug that she passed into her husband’s water.
Once the man was knocked off in a deep sleep, she called in the boys to complete the task.
The boys allegedly stabbed the husband, but apparently missed vital organs as the man woke up and fought for his life.
The boys panicked and fled while the wife stepped in with a pillow to suffocate him, but he managed to knock off the pillow and cry for help.
Community residents heard his cry and ran into their apartment and rescued him, while apprehending the wife and handing her over to the police.
A fellow resident, Rasheeda Noro Yahaya, reported the story on Facebook. She added:
“Ya Allah, may you guide, guard, and preserve our hearts from ever orchestrating such a devilish scheme, Ameen”.
