Social media activist, Martins Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), and comedian Freedom Atsepoyi, widely known as Mr Jollof, traded punches aboard a United Nigerian Airlines flight from Asaba, Delta State, to Lagos.
A video of the physical fight was first uploaded by a Facebook user, Dr Paul Ezikel, on Monday.
The video shows VDM getting up from his seat in the aircraft and throwing a verbal jab at Mr Jollof..
The camera goes off the two momentarily, making it difficult to know who threw the first punch. When the camera returned to capture them, they were already locked in a battle, with VDM appearing to hold Mr Jollof in a chokehold.
When the comedian was extricated, he can be seen throwing more punches as VDM also responded.
“VDM can be heard saying, “You dey bite me?”
IT would be recalled that the two men have a history of online clashes. They have variously traded insults and accusations on social media in recent months.
In a video he posted on his Facebook page, VDM seems to confirm he first threw a verbal jab at Mr Jollof.
“I tell am you go slap me today o! (I told him he would have to slap me today). He said the comedian hit him, and he responded.
He claimed he overpowered the comedian, and he resorted to biting him. VDM raised his top to show the teeth mark on his chest.
“I don chop Jollof fada for inside plane. Man wey no dey shame. He dey bite me. He bite me. (I beat Jollof on the plane. A Shameless man. He bit me)
