An American court has ordered popular busty TikTok influencer, Brenay Kennard, to pay $1.75 million in damages to the woman she snatched her husband from.

Akira Montague had approached the court to claim the sum of $3.5 million in damages from Kennard for having an affair with her then-husband, Timothy Montague, and marrying him.

Embittered Akira, in the civil lawsuit filed in May last year with the Durham County Superior Court, claimed that the involvement of Kennard with her husband ended up “alienating” her from his affection.

She argued that this led to the end of her marriage. Akira accused Brenay Kennard of holding “criminal conversation, and having sex with a person’s spouse, legal claims that are only recognised in North Carolina and a handful of other states in the US.

Obtaining evidence was not difficult because Kennard is a popular figure on TikTok and she posts content about her daily activities, including her interactions with Timothy, while still married to Akira.

Over 3 million followers across TikTok and Instagram watch and read Kennard’s posts.

It was Akira’s claim that Brenay Kennard’s posts with Timothy while he was married to her were done without her knowledge as the wife.

Akira also claimed with evidence that Kennard shared the photos of the children she (Akira) shared with Timothy, without her consent.

The aggrieved lady said Kennard held a live session on her channel where she attempted to “justify” her alleged affair with Timothy.

Akira’s ex-husband, Timothy, in his testimony, claimed that he was never in love with her, adding that they were “just like roommates”.

He claimed that he separated from Akira in 2021, according to The News & Observer.

Akira contested this, claiming that Timothy came home to her every weekend and they had sex.

Kennard, who represented herself at the trial, insisted that she could not have been the reason Timothy and Akira’s marriage crashed.

She alleged that their marriage had been falling apart for years.

The jury took roughly an hour and 50 minutes to rule in favour of Akira on Monday.

Delivering judgment afterwards, a Superior Court judge ordered Kennard to pay $1.5 million for “alienation of affection” and $250,000 for “criminal conversation.”

In her post-judgement statement, Kennard described the verdict as “outrageous.” She said the lawsuit was “all about money,” and accused Akira’s legal team of lying the whole time.

Kennard accused Akira of playing the victim card, asserting that the truth will ultimately come out.

She said Akira might have won the battle but not the war, as “God will have the final say.”

Timothy also called the verdict “absolutely outrageous,” claiming Akira’s legal team won by “pulling the sympathy card.”

He claimed that his marriage to Akira was not full of genuine love, adding that all the parties involved knew that.

Akira’s lawyer, in a statement to PEOPLE, said the evidence presented in the case overwhelmingly supported his client’s stance that Brenay Kennard alienated the affections of Akira’s husband and inflicted emotional injury on his children.

The lawyer thanked everyone who supported them in the pursuit of the case.
