A United Kingdom-based Nigerian lady, Mrs Blessing Ngozi Chibuike, has taken to social media to beg for assistance from the public after her husband allegedly removed her name from his Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).

The tearful woman claimed her husband had been threatening to remove her name for some time and had now done it.

Chibuike said she received a letter from the Home Office telling her that her permission to stay in the UK as a Skilled Worker Partner Health and Care had been cancelled.

In the mail from the UK Home Office, the lady was advised she had up to two months to remain in the country, except she gets another sponsorship.

“You still have permission until 07 January 2025, and the current conditions of your stay will continue to apply until then. Please ensure that you comply with these conditions,” the UK government said in the letter, which the woman shared.

The mail continued by emphasising that she had up till January next year to remain in the UK or make another application to stay. She was also told she had no right of appeal.

Chibuike tearfully said she had no one to help her and would need any assistance anyone could offer her, including relocation to another country, but not Nigeria.

She said she did not want to return to Nigeria now.
