I put all Regina’s relatives on allowances
Politician Ned Nwoko has claimed that he has a record of having sent N125 million to the mother of his wife, Regina Daniels, apart from the money he spent on other members of her family.
In a long tweet on his X, Nwoko accused Regina’s mother, Rita, her brother Sammy and others of constituting a nuisance to him in his home.
He shared videos appearing to show Sammy exchanging angry words with domestic staff at the Senator’s residence.
The senator said the video showed how Sammy constantly visited his residence to harass his children and domestic staff whenever he was not around.
Nwoko claimed he sponsored Sammy through his last two years in the university and bought his musical equipment.
In addition, he claimed he rented an apartment for Sammy in Abuja and furnished it, apart from the house he bought for Regina in Asaba before their marriage, for the use of all of them..
He said he gave routine allowances to all members of the family, including Rita Daniel, adding that he had sent her a total of ₦125 million.
The senator said he arranged therapy for Regina after he noticed some troubling behaviour, disclosing that the doctors treating her told him to restrict Regina’s access to those who gave her drugs.
He claimed Regina’s dependence on certain illegal substances would make her go for 48 hours without sleeping, while eating every two hours.
The politician named Sammy, Destiny, and other members of Regina’s family as being responsible for luring his wife back into the bad habit by bringing the substances to her at home.
He alleged that Lawrence, Sammy, his girlfriend NK, Destiny, Sonia, and others also took the same drugs as Regina.
As someone who neither smokes nor drinks, Nwoko said he found the “these characters and behaviours reprehensible and totally unacceptable”.
He recalled an instance he woke up at 4 am to find Regina speaking on the phone in his room, and he asked her to go to her room because he did not enjoy seeing her high.
The politician claimed Regina told him Sammy’s girlfriend was in her room, and he told one of his drivers to drop her off.
This reportedly angered Sammy, who reportedly came to his house to fight him, until he asked the security men to take him out.
