Embattled Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, has owned up to using drugs in the past, but alleged that it was Ned Nwoko who encouraged her because it made her sexier and wild romantically.
The actress took to her Instagram page this afternoon, Sunday, November 9, to make the claims in response to her husband’s allegations that her family were the major drawback to her recovery from drug addiction.
Regina claimed the drug problem she had was in the past and has nothing to do with her current disagreement with Nwoko.
She accused the politician of exaggerating and manipulating the narrative to tarnish her image.
The actress insisted that her family has nothing to do with the current marital crisis between her and Nwoko.
She accused Nwoko of targeting her friends and family with the sole aim of isolating her so she could return to him.
Regina alleged that Nwoko encouraged her to use drugs for his own sexual satisfaction, as he allegedly told her she was sexier when high.
“You say you want me to go for rehab, but you are the same Ned who always wanted me high because, in your words, I’m ‘sexier’ when I’m high. You liked me that way because it made me wild and romantic exactly how you wanted me to be,” the actress alleged.
She accused her estranged husband of sexual assault, confinement, and medical manipulation.
According to her, Nwoko would seize her phones and force doctors to administer sedative drugs whenever she disagreed with him.
Regina also accused the senator of locking her up, having doctors inject her with drugs meant for people with bipolar disorder, and seizing her phones for weeks because he hated that she talked with her family a lot.
She said Nwoko has never seen her erratic or incoherent. She claimed to have never lost control, stumbled, or lost control.
“Stop using the ‘drugs’ story to create a distraction. Tell people the truth,” she charged.
The actress also disclosed that there was no formal marriage between her and Nwoko, and so there is really no need for her to file for a divorce.
She said whatever the politician has spent on her cannot equate with the value of the prime years, energy, and career opportunities she sacrificed to be with him.
Regina asked the politician to leave her alone.
