A lady identified as Juliet, 28, has been beaten to death in Ajah, Lagos, after she allegedly broke the windscreen of a man’s car.
The Punch reported that Juliet had an altercation with a yet-to-be-identified man on Monday. The issue escalated rapidly, and she reportedly smashed the windshield of the man in annoyance.
The motorist allegedly enlisted the support of some area boys to help him discipline the lady. The boys reportedly grabbed Juliet and dragged her to a nearby uncompleted building, where they tortured her until she slipped into a coma.
Residents of the area later got wind of the issue and rushed the lady to a hospital. However, it was too late as she was declared dead on arrival.
A security source condemned the motorist for taking the law into his hands. The source admitted that what the lady did was not right, but added that beating her to death was worse.
It is speculated that the lady was probably under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident because of the level of aggression she displayed.
Three suspects are currently in police custody over the matter. One of them is the suspect’s wife.
The matter has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, for further investigation.
