The arrested brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, Sammy, was arraigned in court today and remanded in prison until November 28.
This was disclosed by another brother of the actress, Sweezy1, in a social media post this afternoon.
He accused Regina’s estranged husband, Ned Nwoko, of being behind Sammy’s ordeal.
Sweezzy1 shared a video of Sammy in police custody, lamenting that his health and well-being were compromised.
He called on the public to come to the aid of the family and save them from the alleged victimisation by Nwoko.
Sweezzy1 alleged that the application for bail made by their counsel for Sammy was turned down by the court.
He said his brother was being unfairly treated and called on the authorities to look into the case.
Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, had earlier shared another picture of Sammy in detention. The picture showed Sammy, a singer, sitting on the floor of a dirty room, with visible bruises on his arms and body.
Ned Nwoko has, however, claimed that he was not the author of the petition for which Sammy was held.
