Deeper Christian Life Ministry has debunked the claim that its founder, Pastor William F. Kumuyi, denied persecution of Christians in Nigeria while accusing America of attempting to steal Nigeria’s natural resources.

It would be recalled that the viral report emanated from an unverified platform named “Ibomfocus,” purporting to quote the popular cleric.

Deeper Life Bible Church described the report as malicious and entirely fabricated.

The church clarified that Pastor Kumuyi did not address any press conference in Lagos as claimed.

A statement from the church asserted that their founder has been outside Nigeria for some time, anchoring gospel programmes in the Oceania region and the Far East.

The ministry further clarified that the revered cleric does not engage in political discussions or commentary.

It noted that Pastor Kumuyi is focused on preaching the gospel and maintaining neutrality in political matters.

Deeper Life emphasised that their founder’s teachings and activities revolve around spiritual revival and moral transformation.

The church stressed that any attempt to link Kumuyi to politically charged narratives undermines the church’s mission and values.

It called on Nigerians and other people who might have seen the fake report to disregard it and to rely only on verified communications from the church’s official platforms.

Deeper Life Bible Church said fabricated or defamatory reports could attract legal consequences if repeated in the future.

The church urged professional journalists and content creators to uphold ethical standards and verify reports before publication.
