Celebrity disc jockey, Adola Abiodum, better known as DJ Chicken, is lucky to be alive after he was severely beaten by street boys following a road accident in Sagamu, Ogun State.
A video of the incident posted by an X (Twitter) influencer, Oyindamola, shows a mammoth crowd surrounding the DJ and the victims of the accident.
The street boys, otherwise called area boys, order DJ Chicken to sit down on the ground, but he first defies them.
This leads to a number of slaps landing on him from different directions.
It is claimed that the DJ’s reckless driving led to the accident involving an okada (commercial motorcyclist) and a female passenger.
The fate of the rider is not known, but the female passenger can be seen in the video sitting on the ground.
People are trying to lift her as they arrange to take her to the hospital in a tricycle.
DJ Chicken’s truck is nearby, with its fender and bonnet severely damaged, hinting at the severity of the collision.
A man speaking in Yoruba in the background can be heard saying what translates loosely as “That’s how they behave. Once they take illicit substances, that is how they endanger people’s lives”.

The video has gone viral with DJ Chicken trending on X among the hot topics on Saturday.
It would be recalled that the controversial celebrity recently had a clash with singer, Davido and his wife, Chioma.
He made an insensitive comment in a viral video about the singer and his wife. The video attracted wide reactions against him on social media.
