A man, Tshikundi Taty, 44, has been apprehended while recording naked women in a gym bathroom in the United States of America.
Montgomery County Department of Police, in a press statement said a woman called them on Friday, October 10, 2025 to report that a person filmed her while she was taking a shower.
Some officers were dispatched to One Life Fitness Club, located in the 20500 block of Seneca Meadows Parkway in Germantown, where the incident happened.
They could not track down the person at the time, but were able to conduct an extensive investigation, which identified the suspect as Taty of Takoma Park.
The investigators also established the modus operandi of the suspect. He would dress up as a woman to gain entry into the women’s private area.
He would then bring out his phone to surreptitiously record the women in various states of undress.
The suspect would then remove his disguise to escape from the scene.
On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, the man dressed up as usual and went to a Planet Fitness in White Oak.
He was not aware that he was under surveillance. Taty effortlessly penetrated the women’s area as usual while disguised as a woman.
Detectives swooped on him inside the women’s bathroom and took him into custody.
Taty ws then transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he was charged with multiple counts of peeping tom and related offences.
The police are now calling on members of the public who might have been a victim of the suspect in the past to step forward.
