
A 19-year-old man, Rinneau Perrieau, who wasa stabbed in yet-to-be-ascertained circumstances in London has died at the hospital.
Perrineau was attacked on Lavender Hill in Wandsworth, south London, on Tuesday October 21.
Metropolitan Police and medics were summoned to the scene and they stabilised him before moving him to the hospital in a London Ambulance service.
Sadly, the victim’s condition took a turn for the worse and finally lost the battle for life on Friday evening.
The family of the deceased are distraught and paid glowing tributes to their departed son, whom they nicknamed ‘Ren’.
‘Ren was loved by many, he was always around his family. He will be dearly missed,’ they wrote.
Police have now formally declared a murder investigation and are actively combing for information.
They cordoned off the nearby Beauchamp Road and an adjoining street several hours after the incident to gather information.
They have managed to make an arrest but they are keeping sealed lips about the identity of the arrested individual or how he or she is linked to the crime.
The police believe the incident is isolated and did not portend any further threat to the resdients.
They called on those they believe to be ‘a number of witnesses’ to step forward to assist the police with information.
The Acting Borough Commander Amanda Mawhinney consoled the family of the deceased and promised to do what is necessary to give him justice.
He said the shocking crime was committed in broad daylight, throwing the victim’s family into an irrevocable loss.
The police boss urged residnets not to be dismayed by the presence of police around the scene of the crime, as patrols had been stepped up in the local area.
He clled on anyone who was at on the nearby Beauchamp Road between 3.20pm and 3.30pm on October 21 to reach out to them.
