The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the FESTAC, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos, Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP Matilda Ngbaronye, has passed away.
Reports indicated that the senior police officer succumbed to an undisclosed ailment on Friday, October 24, 2025, in a hospital in Surulere, Lagos.
News monitored on Television Continental (TVC News) disclosed that the development has thrown the Lagos State Police Command into mourning.
Ngbaronye was widely regarded as one of the women giving a visible and vibrant representation to women in the police force.
She was once the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Police Command.
She discharged her duties with professionalism, discipline, and dedication.
Tributes have started pouring in for her from colleagues and subordinates.
