A Ghanaian bank official, Siah Nancy Bayoh, has reportedly died of food poisoning after eating at her own birthday party.

Bayoh was said to be hale and hearty and danced vigorously at her birthday party.

She reportedly became uncomfortable after her party guests had departed and had to be rushed to the hospital where she was diagnosed of suffering from food poisoning.

The deceased banker had only eaten during her own party.

The news was broken on social media by her spiritual father, Apostle Anointed Greatness.

The cleric said he warned Bayoh to beware of accepting food or drink from anyone during her birthday.

He claimed he gave her the warning days before the celebration.

“I warned her… I said, ‘My daughter, don’t eat or drink anything on your birthday. Be careful — not everyone smiling with you means well,’” he wrote.

He recalled that Bayoh said she had heard and would be careful.

The cleric said he was surprised to hear that she fell ill after eating at her birthday.

He described the deceased banker as a humble, kind, and dedicated spiritual daughter.

The pastor said she was always there when he needed her and expressed deep sadness over her sudden death.

Apostle Greatness cautioned the public, especially the youth, against trusting blindly. He warned that envy and jealousy often hide behind smiling faces.

Police are said to be probing the incident. However, they are yet to issue any official statement.
