A Zaria, Kaduna-based nurse, Hadiza Musa, has been killed by suspected ‘one-chance’ robbers after she unwittingly boarded their tricycle.
The incident reportedly happened on Monday evening, October 20, 2025.
The deceased flagged down the tricycle, not knowing it contained robbers. The suspects reportedly pounced on her, dispossessing her of her valuables before throwing her out of the moving vehicle.
Hadiza, a staff member of Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Shika, was assisted by Good Samaritans.
She sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
Hadiza only managed to hang on for a while before passing away. Her remains were immediately buried within at ABUTH according to Islamic rites.
Office colleagues described the late nurse as dedicated and compassionate.
The authorities are currently investigating the incident, and an official statement is pending.
One of the deceased’s friends wrote:
“With deep sorrow and total submission to the will of our maker, I announced the sudden death of our dear colleague and friend Nr Hadiza Musa working with Kaduna State. She died yesterday morning as a result of an injury sustained while she was thrown out of Keke NAPEP on Sunday by phone snatchers in Zaria. May Allah SWT forgive her shortcomings.”
May her soul rest in peace.
