A viral video has shown the moment a married man was stuck and unable to disengage after having intimacy with a woman he was not married to in Ghana.
The language spoken in the video appears to be a Ghanaian dialect, Twi (an Akan language), which suggests that he incident happened in Ghana.
The video shows the man lying on the back of the woman, groaning in pain, as some residents crowd them in the room.
A woman suspected of being the wife of the man can be seen hitting him, as she complains loudly in their local dialect.
The man appears to be begging, but his voice is muffled and cannot be distinctly heard.
The person who posted it online claimed it was African voodoo in action. It is believed in some African countries that a cheating partner can be cursed to get stuck with his illicit partner.
However, many of the commenters pointed out that it was a medical condition called ‘penis captivus’, which has nothing to do with voodoo.
One of such commenters, John_Makite, writing with @j_makite, noted, “This is not voodoo. It’s a natural biological reaction caused by fear, kind of like a muscle pull. A finger up her b*m will trigger the release mechanism. Information is power.”
Abdulawwal Yusuf wrote: “Nothing like voodoo, this is just penis captivus.”
