Customs officer who allegedly lodged with three women in hotel found dead at daybreak

A Customs officer, with the name tag, ASC Lawal Tukur, has died in mysterious circumstances after lodging in a hotel with three women in Katsina metropolis.

Security analyst, Zagazola Makama, reported on X that the incident happened on October 15 at the Murjani Hotel in Katsina.

The officer reportedly arrived hale and hearty in the company of two ladies, with whom he lodged in a room.

The names of the ladies were given as Aisha Lawal, 30, of Ingawa Local Government Area and Khadija Ali, 34, of Dutsin Amare Quarters, Katsina.

By morning, a third lady, identified as Hafsat Yusuf, 22, of Brigade Quarters, Kano, reportedly joined the party in the hotel room in the early hours of the morning.

Makama reported that the hotel staff were puzzled when the man did not check out in the morning as he had promised.

Around 8:30 a.m., they went into his room to find that he had passed away. The hotel authorities quickly alerted the police, who arrived at the hotel shortly afterwards.

Makama was silent on whether the women were still there in the room when the officer’s body was discovered or they were later traced and apprehended.

According to sources within the hotel, some empty sachets of some curious substances were recovered from the waste bin in the room.

The lifeless body of the customs officer was taken to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Katsina, where a medical doctor confirmed him dead.

The body was subsequently moved to the mortuary for autopsy as investigations continue to ascertain the exact cause of death.
