The United States of America has announced the revocation of the visas of six foreigners who made social media posts hailing or justifying the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
The US Department of State said in an X post that the country was not obliged to host foreigners who wish death on Americans.
The Department said the six foreigners affected are from Mexico, South Africa, Brazil, Paraguay, Germany, and Argentina.
It said they are no longer welcome in the US.
Among those affected was an Argentine national who allegedly wrote that Kirk “deserved to burn in hell.”
The South African national mocked Americans mourning him. Some others called Kirk “a racist” and “a misogynist,” while one person said he “died too late.”
Each of the six individuals has now had their US visa revoked.
It would be recalled that President Donald Trump recently posthumously awarded Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom, describing him as a “martyr for truth.”
Kirk, 31, was the founder of Turning Point USA. His death sparked intense reactions online, with many condemning his assassination while some derided his legacy.
Shortly after his death, the State Department announced that foreigners who took advantage of America’s hospitality while celebrating the assassination of its citizens would be removed from the country.
