Angola to host 4th edition of Expo Recicla 2025 to promote sustainable waste management
The National Waste Agency (ANR), under the Ministry of Environment, has announced that the fourth edition of Expo Recicla will take place in Luanda from October 24 to 25, 2025, with the theme “Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle for a More Sustainable Angola.”
The two-day event has grown beyond a simple exhibition to become a national forum for environmental education, innovation, and policy dialogue, highlighting Angola’s growing commitment to sustainability and climate responsibility.
According to the organisers, this year’s edition aims to strengthen collaboration among government agencies, private sector players, civil society groups, and international partners in advancing the country’s circular economy.
The initiative supports Angola’s commitments to the Paris Agreement and its pursuit of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) under the 2030 Agenda.
Over the years, Angola has introduced several initiatives to reduce its carbon footprint and promote efficient resource use through waste recovery, recycling, and environmental education.
The upcoming expo is seen as a key milestone in consolidating these efforts and inspiring citizens toward greener practices.
Participants at Expo Recicla 2025 will engage in panel discussions, thematic conferences, and practical workshops focusing on waste management, renewable energy, innovation, and circular economy models.
The exhibition area will feature new recycling technologies and environmental solutions, while interactive sessions will encourage youth and schools to take part in sustainability campaigns.
The ANR emphasised that the event will also serve as a networking hub for investors and environmental innovators, creating opportunities for partnerships that can drive sustainable enterprise and green job creation in Angola.
As Angola continues its journey toward economic diversification and sustainable development, initiatives like Expo Recicla 2025 reaffirm the government’s resolve to build a cleaner, healthier, and more resilient nation for generations to come.
