Daughter of the late Pastor Bimbo Odukoya, Pastor Tolu has disclosed that her marriage to Olumide Ijogun has crashed.
The Associate Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church said her split from her husband was one of the hardest seasons of her life.
The clergy, who is the older sister of the Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, said the separation felt like death.
She recalled that between 2021 and 2023, she faced multiple losses, including the passing of her stepmother, her father, and his twin sister.
Pastor Toluwani Odukoya said the crash of her marriage added to the sorrow.
The clergy woman clarified, however, that her ex-husband was not a bad man. She also added that she was also not a bad person.
According to the talented gospel singer, that someone is good does not necessarily mean the person would be good for another person as a partner.
She said he was good to her while they stayed together. The cleric hinted that it was a compatibility issue.
She waxed philosophical, saying that if two people were not meant for each other, no matter how much effort was made, it would simply not work.
“If God is not in it, you can’t force it to happen,” she declared.
She thanked her family, especially her siblings, for serving as her support system throughout her challenging times.
As for her calling to be a pastor, she said she accepted despite her baggage. According to her, her acceptance was not to say she was deserving, but an acknowledgement of the fact that God must have put something in her that qualifies her for the role.
