“I wasn’t arrested, I had a medical emergency”, Musician 2Baba denies London arrest report

Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Baba, has denied being arrested in London after an altercation with his wife, Natasha Osawaru.

In a video currently circulating, he said he was unable to show up at his concert because he had a medical emergency.

He did not elaborate any further in the video where he is seen sitting with Natasha and some of his associates.

It would be recalled that a blogger, Tosin Silverdam, released a report claiming that 2Baba’s absence from his scheduled UK tour on October 2, 2025, was a result of his arrest by London police.

Fans left the concert disappointed when 2Baba did not show up. They had seen a video of him, his wife and daughter walking in the streets of London.

So there was no doubt that he was already in town. It was then a surprise that he was a no-show at his own concert.

Silverdam seemed to provide the missing information with his claim of 2Baba’s arrest. His report was picked up by many blogs.

But 2Face said no such thing happened and that he only had a medical emergency. He thanked those who turned up for the concert.

The musician also thanked the organisers, promising that they would regroup to do ‘something beautiful’.

He cautioned, “If una no know something, make una no dey talk” (If you don’t know something, don’t talk.”

Following 2Baba’s denial of being arrested, Silverdam, this morning, released another video to reinforce his earlier one.

In the fresh video, he played the video of 2Baba refuting the report of arrest and claiming that all he had was a medical emergency.

The blogger scoffed at the explanation and insisted he had privileged information from those who were close to 2Baba.

He shared a screenshot of a message allegedly sent by one of those involved in 2Baba’s concert.

“The message reads: Them just call us say police don leave 2face. So we won go see them now.
Imagine. See time.” (“They just called us to say that 2Face has been released. We’re going to see him now. Imagine! Look at the time.”)
