
A female student of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBU), Lapai, Niger State, Adamu Fatima Muhammad, has slumped and died in her off-campus lodge.
Muhammad was studying Biochemistry in the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the institution.
Reports indicated that Muhammad slumped in her room outside the university campus in Lapai and was taken to the General Hospital, Lapai.
A few moments later, she gave up the ghost.
Those who know the deceased said he had earlier lost her two parents. She was living with her guardian in Suleja, Niger State, with her only surviving brother.
They described her as a humble and dedicated student who was much loved by those who came in contact with her.
He sudden demise has now thrown the entire university community into mourning, according to sources.
The late Muhammad was buried in Lapai on Monday according to Islamic rites.
