“Lie! You called Obi of Onitsha ‘Father’” Reno Omokri fires Peter Obi after he called Olubadan ‘Brother’

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has continued to drag politician, Peter Obi, for referring to Oba Ladoja, the 44th Olubadan of Ibadan, as ‘My dear brother’.
Obi had posted a congratulatory message on his X page in which he had written among other things: “I warmly congratulate my dear brother, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, on his installation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.”
Reno, however, accused the politician of being rude, claiming that he could not use the same expression for an Emir.
He cautioned Obi, saying he should not do to the Olubadan what he could not do with an Emir.
Obi, in an apparent response to Omokri, defended himself, saying that he used the same word of endearment for Obi of Onitsha.
He said he meant no disrespect to Oba Ladoja, who was Oyo State governor when he was also governor of Anambra State.
Omokri will not let it lie. He went into the archives of Obi’s old posts and got a snapshot of him calling the Obi of Onitsha ‘Father’.
See his post below:
“Did we not tell Nigerians that Peter Obi is a liar and unfit to be President of our great nation? Earlier today, he claimed that he uses the term, ‘My dear brother’, which he condescendingly used to refer to His Royal Majesty, the 44th Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, for the Obi of Onitsha.
His exact words were as follows:
“I ALWAYS refer to His Royal Majesty Igwe Alfred Achebe, Obi of Onitsha, as my very dear elder brother in the same affectionate manner.”
But only last year, he referred to the Obi of Onitsha as “Father”. He also used the same term to refer to former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Chief Ayo Adebanjo, both of whom endorsed his Presidential candidacy during the #NigerianElections2023.
But when it came to one of the most revered traditional rulers in the Southwest, a First Class Lukumi King, he patronisingly and arrogantly referred to the Royal father as “My dear brother” and then lied that he does the same with the Obi of Onitsha to cover it up.
Like I said before, Peter Obi is a trader, not a leader, and he is better suited for running a stall at Onitsha Market than manning the desk at Aso Rock.
