An Ethiopian working as a maid in Kuwait is lucky to be alive after she fell from the seventh floor of a high-rise building.
A video of the incident shows the domestic worker hanging from the glass balcony of the seventh floor, with the employer filming from inside.
She can be heard speaking to the person filming, said to be her boss. The victim later explained that she was trying to escape from her boss, who wanted to kill her.
She was telling her boss to hold her as she hung on for dear life. The boss made no attempt to help her and continued to film till the maid’s hand slipped and she fell.
She miraculously survived. Authorities said she landed on a metal awning on her way down, which probably broke her fall.
A Kuwaiti national is reportedly being held in connection with the incident.
It is believed the detained person was the boss of the Ethiopian househelp. Authorities are slamming her with charges related to recording the maid and posting her video after falling without lifting a finger to help her.
She reportedly only said, “Oh, crazy, come back”, while she continued to film without any emotion.
According to the Al-Seyassah newspaper, the girl sustained a broken arm and bled from her nose and ears.
