Netizens have unearthed an old ominous Facebook post of the Benue man, Sefa Awen, who allegedly bullied his wife to death, saying whoever married him had signed up for trouble.

Awen made the post before his wedding in August last year. Exactly a year afterwards, his wife was dead and buried after passing through heartache.

The embattled man, in a pre-wedding post, attached a photo of himself with his bride-to-be, Doosuur Agbatar, who was his boss in the office where he worked.

Using pidgin English, he wrote on August 16, 2024: “Person wey get mind marry me, una fear that person.

Me ma I dey fear that Doosuur. Which kain mind be that? She no even fear o.

Argh, Kwase U Awen, them no tell you well. Welcome to a life of drama and wahala”.

He then added two black, ugly emoticons to make it look devilish.

Many, including his wife, must have believed he was only catching a cruise (joking around). But now with hindsight, many netizens believe he was speaking frankly.

Two days after the post, Sefa and Doosuur tied the knot in an elaborate, no-resources-spared wedding ceremony in Makurdi, Benue State.

Doosuur’s family is comfortable and allegedly bankrolled the bulk of the expenses.

However, post-wedding, the late Doosuur’s life with Awen was filled with bickering and premium sorrow, as evidenced in a personal diary she kept.

Entries in the diary revealed that Doosuur knew Sefa was cheating with a lady who played a prominent role in their wedding.

The diary was filled with references to Ashanwa (Loveth Orva), the side-chick of Sefa.

Doosuur’s heart was allegedly broken when she found out that the love of her life was cheating with a married lady she knew well but never suspected. She reportedly developed high blood pressure for the first time in her life and frequented the hospital.

She ultimately died of complications arising from the condition.

Doosuur reportedly cloned her husband’s WhatsApp, as a result of which she kept tabs on the dirty conversations her husband had with his side chick.

She learnt that Loveth slept in the same hotel with them on their wedding day. Sefa reportedly slept with her before coming out to tie the knot with Doosuur.

By Sefa’s own admission on Facebook, Loveth dressed him up on his wedding day.

On the wedding night, he again disappeared from the room he shared with his brand new wife and returned in the early hours of the following morning.

Doosuur was to learn that he went to Loveth’s room on their wedding night for some love, while she lay alone in bed.

In one of the leaked chats between Sefa and his side chick, he purportedly claimed that nothing else gave him more pleasure than sticking his tongue into the ‘ny*nsh’ (buttocks) of Loveth.

Doosuur also learnt that Sefa was tired of living under the same roof with her (Doosuur) in less than a year of marriage.

Her entries in her diary indicated that she had resigned to fate and concluded that she would ignore her husband’s shenanigans and focus on herself.

Unfortunately, she did not make it out of the marriage alive.
