A United Kingdom-based Nigerian lady, identified as Cynthia Efori, by a fan has advised Nigerians coming into UK to plan their trip well so they do not become homeless.

Efori, using the TikTok handle @chopalicious82, said it is easy to get by if you cannot afford food.

However, accommodation is an entirely different ball game, according to her. She said affording accommodation is more difficult.

Efori claimed she and her husband live in the back of their van in Wellingborough, UK.

The Nigerian lady, who is married to an elderly Caucasian, believed to be a Briton, says she is currently unemployed.

According to her, they live mainly out of the back of their family van, but go to hotels every two or three days for showers and proper sleep.

She also said they use hotel facilities for their convenience.

Efori showed their makeshift bed and pillows inside the van. She also showed their gas cooker, mini fridge and other essentials.

She explained that she and her husband survive on free food available in parts of London, but they cannot afford housing.

Efori said she and her husband travel a lot, and shared some of the fun activities they get involved in.

As you are coming to the UK, make sure you have enough money to lodge somewhere. Make plans for where you are going to stay in the UK. There is no free house in the UK. We have free food in the UK, but no free house. This is the back of our car. We are living in the back of our car,” she said.

She invited her followers to share her video and drop comments so she could make some money to keep her and her husband going.

Her video has attracted lots of reactions, with many questioning how they became homeless.

Some others told her to return to Nigeria if she is not having an easy life in the UK.

One person wrote: “Cynthia Ofori, come back home.”

Others suggested that she is in the UK without proper papers, as a result of which she cannot work. They also opined that if she had children, the government would support her.

Some other commenters opined that their living in a van might be a choice and lifestyle, especially as she mentioned that they love to travel.
