September 16 is here again, a special day globally set aside to celebrate Otunba Odeyeyiwa Kazeem Olayemi, an exemplary humanitarian, strategic entrepreneur, visionary business leader, astute corporate executive and cerebral Chartered Accountant.
This exemplary philanthropist is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Repton Group, a group that has profitable subsidiaries such as Kazab Heritage, Success Link, Defrost Ventures Limited, Ibile Motors and Continental Vision. Repton Group is mainly into distribution, logistics, farming, construction and general trading.
Otunba Odeyeyiwa, a highly motivated, efficient and energetic professional with unique financial, analytical, organisational and creative skills is also reputable for a high level of integrity and endowed with rare passion for constant achievement of results.
In confirmation of his rare passion for constant achievement of results and extraordinary business management acumen, Repton Group clinched both the award of 2024 National Largest Distributor of Dangote Cement in Nigeria and City People Award of Excellence in the Building Material Sector. The Group won both awards through its cement distribution subsidiary, Kazab Heritage Limited, at the Dangote Cement Customers Awards and Gala Night on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 and City People Awards on Sunday, May 25, 2025 respectively in Lagos.
It would be recalled that through Kazab Heritage Limited, Repton Group had equally achieved the milestone of becoming the 2023 National Largest Distributor of Dangote Cement in Nigeria after having come second consecutively for three years. The Group had also earlier emerged as the NATIONAL LARGEST DISTRIBUTOR of Lafarge Cement in Nigeria in 2020 and 2017.
This versatile and encyclopedic entrepreneur has been conferred with the traditional business title of “Babalaje” (i.e. Successful Business Man) of Itori Egba Kingdom, Ogun State, Nigeria in recognition of his exceptional business management acumen.
This great philanthropist has also bagged the traditional chieftaincy titles of Otunba Bobagunwa of Modakeke, Osun State; High Chief of Itori Egba Kingdom, Ogun State; Aare Atayese of Ifetedo Kingdom, Osun State and Mayegun of Apomu Land, Osun State in appreciation of his outstanding royal support, communal commitment and massive social responsibility initiatives.
In practical demonstration of his passionate commitment to youth employment and career advancement, he co-sponsored the 2024 Lagos Career Fair which held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at the Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, where he also delivered the Keynote Address entitled “Building Resilience, Employability Skills and Positioning for Growth”.
Through Repton Group Foundation, the philanthropic arm of his business Group, he has also sunk boreholes for provision of water for people in different communities and offered many students scholarships in a bid to help them achieve their educational goals, among many corporate social responsibility activities. His exemplary lifestyle, religious devotion and philanthropy have also earned him the grand religious title of “Baba Adinni” of Ewekoro Central Mosque in Ogun State.
A man of exceptional thirst for knowledge acquisition, Otunba Odeyeyiwa, who is currently undergoing a Doctorate of Business Administration Programme at the California Intercontinental University, USA, holds an MBA Degree from the Business School of the Netherlands and another MBA degree in General Management from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria.
A Certified Information System Auditor, he is a multiple Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria; Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria; Nigerian Institute of Management; Nigerian Institute of Marketing and Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria. He is equally a Full Member of the Institute of Directors, Nigeria and an alumnus of the Prestigious Lagos Business School, Nigeria and London Business School where he attended the Advanced Management Programme in Innovation through Design Thinking in April 2023.
What’s more, Otunba is a member of Island Club, Lagos Country Club, Ikoyi Club, Ikeja Golf Club and Abeokuta Sports Club. He is also a member of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group, Business Club of Ikeja and Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry as regards Business Advocacy groups.
