Popular Yoruba Nollywood actor, Ibrahim Chatta, has announced the passing of his son.
Chatta, 54, took to his Instagram page on Saturday to break the devastating news.
He shared a photo of his son and wrote the Arabic word, which means, “Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return”.
The actor added, “Ya Allah, You are the Knower of all things. Rest on, Dear son, champ.”
The news has sent shockwaves across the movie industry, with many fans asking why tragedies are befalling Nollywood stars.
It would be recalled that another popular Nollywood actress, Peju Ogunmola, lost her only child last week. The son, Ayomikun, had reportedly slipped in the bathroom and possibly hit his head on a hard surface. He reportedly died before help came.
Chatta had shared in June the experience of losing his first child, a daughter, some years back, before he made it.
The actor blamed financial hardship and inadequate medical care for the loss of his daughter.
He also disclosed that he was not able to afford a decent coffin and had to resort to using an old wooden Coca-Cola crate.
