The daughter of billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, Temi, has dropped her surname for her husband’s after their recent highly celebrated wedding to Nigerian singer Oluwatosin Ajibade, better known as Mr Eazi.
Mr Eazi formally proposed to Temi in April 2022, and finally tied the knot in a series of ceremonies in three different countries.
The couple held a ceremony in Monaco on May 9, had a traditional Yoruba wedding at the Otedola family home in Dubai, and did a white wedding ceremony in Iceland in August.
The brand new wife has since started changing her documents to reflect her new status as Mrs Ajibade. This has already been reflected on her Instagram page, where she has 1.9 million followers.
Her name on the page now reads Temiloluwa Ajibade.
The development has warmed the hearts of many Nigerians who believed the billionaire daughter did well by adopting her husband’s last name.
One of the fans reacting online, king_otega, jocularly commented that some women from humble backgrounds would be arrogantly insisting on keeping their father’s name
Madaniella1 said it was clear that Temi was happily married. “She’s happy to be married”, he wrote.
Chi_Babeeee69 said that if she were the one, she would not change Otedola’s name. She would only add her husband’s name.
