The young Bayelsan lady, Kadi, who brutally assaulted her colleague in a viral video, has been picked up by the police.
In a new video, she tearfully told a man believed to be a friend of her ex-boyfriend that the school authorities contacted the police to pick her up.
She told the man that she was being held at Zone 16, Yenegoa, Bayelsa State.
Kadi also denied that she beat up Nancy because of a man. She claimed that she was angered because Nancy called her grandmother smelly.
Kadi exonerates her ex-boyfriend
In a voice note she sent to the ex-boyfriend, identified by his nickname, Upcoming, Kadi said she did not mention his name in the matter.
“Did you hear your name in the matter? You said when you finish with my father, did you hear your name in the matter. E be like say you no know weting you dey do for this life. Anything you wan do for my papa, go do. You hear your name? Just because of the posts wey say na because of man we fight. Somebody that insulted my grandmama, said my grandmama dey smell, you say make I no beat am. Don’t worry. Rush go meet my papa” she said in one voice note
In the second voice note, she said, “Dem don come to carry me like this. I go hand over my phone make another person explain to you how e take happen, because nothing concern you concern this matter. Your name no dey there. I dont know why this morning, dem go post me. Which kind wahala be this for Yenagoa. Person insult my grandmother say she dey smell, you say make I no react. Na me naked the person? Only me, na im dem dey talk. Dont worry, I go go the jail”
Netizens reacting to her video, however, noted that she did not mention her grandmother in the viral video where she and her friends tortured Nancy.
They pointed out that she mentioned ‘Kelvin’ and mentioned Junior NBA, and did not, for once, mention her grandmother.
Nancy hospitalised
In another video, the victim, Nancy, was shown displaying her injuries. A man in the video explained that she had been in the hospital since the incident. Her left eye was badly damaged.
She is seen in the room with her friends and a man. One of the friends said an earlier attempt to arrest Kadi was not successful as the police man who followed them appeared helpless or compromised.
The lady recalled that Kadi was talking to them aggressively in the presence of the policeman.
“She asked me, ‘What is your f*cking business in the matter?” Nancy’s friend recalled.
The victim’s friends appealed to Nigerians to get justice for her because her father is deceased and her mother is currently outside the country.
It appeared the school authorities where the girls belong have waded in, instigating the arrest of the Kadi.
