A viral video has shown the moment a stocky passenger was forcefully booted out of an Enugu Air flight in Enugu, eastern part of Nigeria.
The incident happened at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport. Two videos are available online showing the incident.
One of the video was taken inside the aircraft. It shows airline and airport officials surrounding the man.
They soon commence pushing him out of the aircraft, but the man resists. At some point the officials resort to dragging him out, as he struggles to hold on to anything in sight to resist the move.
The second video was shot by a passenger from the lounge at the airport. The passenger zoomed in on the passenger after he had been dragged to the tarmac.
The man loudly complained about the officials pullling his trousers off and making him to lose his footwear.
It is unclear what caused the confrontation, but speculations indicated that it might have arisen from the passenger’s failure or refusal to listen to instruction governing sitting at the exit seats in the aircraft.
The airline is yet to issue an official statement explaning what happened.
