It has emerged that Robin Westman, who opened fire on hapless students at a Minneapolis Catholic Church, was a confused transgender person who regretted transitioning.

A manifesto the shooter, 23, posted online before he embarked on the shooting has been unveiled.

It would be recalled that Westman killed two students, aged 8 and 10, and wounded more than 12 others at the church.

His unveiled handwritten journal on YouTube showed the shooter complaining about his long hair and his decision to transition.

He wrote that he was only keeping long hair because it was the last evidence of being trans.

According to the Post, Westman complained that he was tired of being trans and regretted brainwashing himself.

He whined that he could not cut his hair now because it would amount to a defeat. The shooter also said the action might be a concerning change of character that could get him reported.

Westman said he loved the idea of being a girl. He, however, added that by the technology available, he could not achieve the body of a girl he desired. Besides, he said he could not even afford it.

Records showed that Westman changed his birth name from Robert to Robin in Dakota County, Minn., at the age of 17.

Court filings showed his claim that he identified as a female and wanted her name to reflect that identification.

He carried on her assumed identity for another five years from 2020, before expressing doubts about his new identity.

His Facebook page showed the confusion he was going through. In one post, he wrote that he did not want to dress girly all the time. He added that he, however, liked it sometimes.

Westman further said he knew he was not a woman, but he also did not feel like a man.

Other writings of the shooter showed that he had long held the fantasies of killing children or being a “scary, horrible monster standing over them.

He also celebrated the Sandy Hook shooting, where over 20 kids were murdered.

A video Westman posted hours before the shootings shows horrible scribbings on a gun magazine expressing his intention to kill US President Donald Trump.

The shooter targeted Annunciation Catholic Church and School, where he graduated from grade school in 2017.

His mother, Mary Grace Westman, was a secretary at the school for five years until she retired in 2021.

The confused transgender took his legally acquired rifle and a pistol and went to the Annunciation Catholic Church and School on Wednesday, August 27, around 8:30 am.

He opened fire on students praying at Mass through the stained glass windows, killing two kids instantly.

Westman wounded 17 others before taking his own life.
