The Police in Osun State have detained a young man, simply identified as Yinka, following the sudden passing of his lover, Bidemi Omole, in his apartment in Esa-Oke.
Reports indicate that Omole passed away on Friday, August 22.
The young woman had paid her lover, Yinka, a weekend visit. Fate, however, had other plans as she took ill some hours after arriving at Yinka’s home.
The couple underestimated the illness and believed it would be cleared with a home remedy.
However, the situation took a turn for the worse in the course of the night, and Omole died on his bed in his room.
Police were alerted by the neighbours, who did not want any trouble. Yinka was arrested by detectives.
Osun State Police Command spokesperson, Abiodun Ojelabi, told newsmen that Yinka had remained in custody since he was picked up on Friday.
The Police Public Relations Officer said that an autopsy would be carried out to assist the investigation.
It would enable the detectives to know if Yinka was culpable in the sudden demise of Bidemi Omole, she said.
