Assailants suspected to be cultists murdered a content creator and skit maker, Austin Bature in Lagos.
Bature, also a hair stylist, was reportedly hacked to death in the Lakowe community of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area of Lagos State.
Eye-witnesses said some men believed to be cultists came for the deceased in the early hours of last Thursday.
The man reportedly went to Bature’s apartment and dragged him into the street where they inflicted wounds on him with sharp objects believed to be machetes.
A Lakowe resident told the Punch that the victim’s have hand was severed in the attack.
It was stated after his death that he posted a curious farewell message on his social WhatsApp status on Tuesday. It is not clear if he knew he would be killed or it was just a coincidence.
Bature was well loved in the area as a talented hairstylist who was also involved in content creation through skits.
He was said to have some entertainers as friends before his untimely demise.
