The Anambra State Government has sacked the eight men of the Agunechemba Security who allegedly stripped a female National Youth Service Corps member, Miss Jennifer Elobor, naked in July.

The men stormed the residence of corps members in Anambra and manhandled many of the ladies.

Jennifer Elobor was worst hit as they tore off her top, exposing her breasts, and pulled up her skirt as well to reveal her nakedness.

A video of the incident showed the hapless lady begging them, shouting ‘please’ repeatedly.

They ignored her pleas and rained slaps on her, as they shouted expletives at her and other ladies.

The male counterparts of the women can be heard in the background telling each other they needed to contact the ‘Director’.

An aide to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on Community Security, Ken Emeakayi, later said on Channels TV that the men were in the area to arrest some cultists.

However, he condemned their filmed action and promised that the state government had ordered the arrest of the men.

He also disclosed that he had met with Elobor and promised to provide an update as the investigation progressed into the matter.

Earlier today, Wednesday, 20, 2025, Emeakayi provided an update at the agency’s headquarters in Awka.

He announced that the men, whom he paraded, had been dismissed from the security outfit.

Emeakayi also announced that they would be handed over to the police for prosecution.

He said the present government of Anambra State would not tolerate any form of unprofessionalism by law enforcers.

Emeakayi said any state official found displaying acts of unprofessionalism or brutality would be dismissed and prosecuted.

The aide of the governor said the victim’s family and officials of NYSC asked for an amicable resolution, but the government insisted on doing the proper thing to serve as a deterrent.

He also disclosed that the medical bills of Elobor had been settled by the state government. Her valuables, such as a laptop and phone damaged by the operatives, had been replaced.

Emeakayi said an apology had also been tendered to her, her family, NYSC and the general public.

He said the incident provided an opportunity to reform the outfit and restore public confidence in community security operations.
