The founder of the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners, Bishop David Oyedepo, has warned those pushing for the wearing of hijab in mission schools to take heed lest they experience God as a consuming fire.
The fiery cleric spoke during a church service in Ota, Ogun State, against the backdrop of those insisting that Muslim students should be allowed to wear hijabs in school.
Oyedepo said it was similar to a tenant decreeing for his landlord, a situation he said he had never seen in his life.
The Winners Chapel founder said mission schools should be allowed to maintain their standards.
He counselled those who wish to use hijabs to leave the institution and go to other institutions where hijabs can be worn by both genders.
Oyedepo said it was time to end all harassment of the church, even as he warned that “God is a consuming fire”.
The cleric also touched on the issue of ritual killings, kidnapping, and the destruction of farmlands by cow herders. He prayed to God to bring judgment upon those afflicting the people.
